Here at Alton Pet Care we provide all kinds of day-to-day services for your beloved pets.
Away for the day? Working long hours? Or perhaps you just need a helping hand?
Benefitting from being looked after in familiar surroundings, we will make sure your pet is happy and safe, giving you the chance to relax and unwind.
Dog Walking
We offer a dog walking service to fit in with your lifestyle, whether your dog needs an hours run off the lead or just a few minutes potter around the block. Prior to our first walk I will meet with you and your dog to discuss your requirements, this will give me a good chance to get to know you both and for us to establish the best exercise and care programme.
Our aim is to support you with your pet care needs and to leave your "special part of the family" feeling content and relaxed.
Most of our walks are in sociable groups of up to four but we can offer one to one walks for dogs that need a little more attention or just prefer to be on their own.
All dogs are equipped with an "Alton Pet Care" tag for the duration of their walk which includes emergency contact details.

Cats and Small Animals
Going away on holiday?
At Alton Pet Care we know how important your pets are - whatever their size!
A half hour visit from us will provide food, water, a change of bedding and comfort for your pet in your absence.
We can visit daily or weekly - whatever you need - to keep them fed, hydrated, clean and comfortable.
Any special requirements? We are happy to administer medication so just let us know.
We are happy to bring in post and water plants while we are there.
Unusual pets? Give us a challenge!
Small Holdings
Alton Pet Care can offer a feeding and clean bedding service for your chickens, goats, sheep, pigs and donkeys (all materials must be provided) We also offer a foot trimming service and hired help with lambing/shearing/worming as required. Residential stays at your small holding may be available on request - please contact us to discuss your requirements.
About me
Hi, my name is Katy and I run Alton Pet Care. I have always loved animals so it felt like a very natural path to follow that I look after them. I previously worked for the much loved "Miller's Ark" company based in Hook, where I learnt an incredible amount about animal behaviour and care. During this time I was lucky enough to work with a huge range of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, geese, pigs, goats, sheep and donkeys. I gained invaluable insight into their care and breeding. This wealth of experience has enabled me to offer more than your average pet carer. It allows me to be diverse in the services I can provide and you can rest assured that I can offer you and your pet the best care.
Pricing
Prices cover Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Bank Holidays are available but may be subject to an additional charge.
Dogs £10 p/h (additional dogs from the same household £5)
Half hour "let out" at home £6
Walk times may be longer than an hour but never shorter unless specified!
Cats and small animals *special offer of £5 per visit* - cats, fish, guinea, pigs, rats etc
Block bookings are available
Food and litter must be provided along with clean bedding (if you would like us to change it).
